About

Recently graduated
from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion
and Textiles I have found and explored my love for upcycling and sustainability
in a way that highlights fluid shapes as well as exploring the techniques of beading
and embroidery. Based in Sydney's south coast of Wollongong, my love for the
beach and ocean consistently informs my work in new ways, and this curiosity about
the world around me creates the foundations of my work.

Working with
various materials and upcycled garments, the inspiration for the collections and
concepts is developed when working hands-on with the chosen materials,
exploring their relationship to the body, and then building from that to create
the chosen collections.

Sustainability

Having started sewing through upcycling my old clothes at the age of 15, my love for sewing emerged out of sustainability and has since played a significant role in my work. From upcycling tablecloths, old clothes and fabric remnants, each piece is unique and tells a story. Creative exploration often comes from seeing the discarded fabrics first and exploring how they could be manipulated or draped into something else.

Beading

My exploration of beading started when I created an outfit for Taylor Swift's Era's Tour, and from there, I beaded my first dress. The texture and colour drew me to the
beading technique, and I continued creating a Formula One-inspired beaded dress
and F1 beaded shirts.

Social Media

Through my sewing journey, sharing my creative process is something I value to inspire others, whether that is purchasing less or turning something they no longer
like into something amazing and aiming to make unique fashion more accessible through the skill of sewing or just inspiring those to try.
