'She will mend the tapestry I shred' (Swift, 2020). While this is an artistic take on a failing love story, I aligned the words with the falling apart of the world around us represented in the shredded nature of the garments. Sustainability and upcycling are the basis of this collection, which gathers old knitwear garments and unravels them by hand to create new and unique patterns. The dress explores knitwear's draped and weighted nature and the hand-machine knitted bow. All of the garments explore this idea of falling apart and shredding nature from a feminine perspective that is both broken and beautiful.
